Some websites reported several sightings of American and British reconnaissance submarines in the vicinity of the Kursk. Igor Dygalo of the Russian Navy: Foreign secret services' interest in the Kursk is quite understandable. I assure you, however, that the site is closed for all foreign surface ships and submarines.
