Ask WPS

The more sources the more information... This postulate sounds reasonable, however the practices of media monitoring proves that it does not always work. Extensive listings of sources counting in thousands impress only first-time visitors of monitoring companies' web sites. Our experience shows that the vast majority of print and electronic media are hopeless in terms of information retrieval. They simply do not carry useful information.

Therefore we usually monitor only the most informative and influential media sources, although we are always ready to add titles or channels matching the specific information needs of our clients.

WPS reading lists

We receive the majority of Russian national dailies and weeklies both in the electronic editions and the hard copy. All electronic editions are checked with respective printed editions before being imported in our database. Most Russian magazines are available only in hard copy, so they are monitored in the traditional way by WPS press readers. The possibility of combining machine search and manual search gives WPS clients serious advantage before the users of online libraries.

National Newspapers and Magazines

General-interest and business dailies and weeklies; life-style glossy magazines; trade and consumer magazines (automobile, IT, pharmaceutical, etc.).

Regional Newspapers

Over 500 leading newspapers from 75 regions of the Russian Federation. Please note that regional editions reach us with a delay of 3 to 10 days.

Russian Web

Unlike print media, Russian internet sites are easily reachable from any part of the world. However, it appears that no one needs "the whole" Russian internet.

We monitor all Russian web sites that regularly carry new information, including national, regional and trade news agencies, and all major Russian web portals publishing first-hand news. They are too many to be listed on a web page, and we will not burden you with such listings.

Individual approach to each client is our policy in web monitoring. If you know exactly which sites you want to be monitored, we will restrict our search accordingly. Otherwise we will suggest you a customized listing of web sources that carry news on your subject of interest.

Web pages containing news relevant to your order will be brought to your desktop as snap-shots (in jpeg, or pdf) or as OCRed text.

More titles can be added at your request. You may order full-list monitoring or select specific publications. Profiled clipping files can be supplemented with relevant transcripts of electronic media broadcasts (See the Television and Radio section).
